About The Artist

Cara Stemo is an illustrator and comic artist based in Michigan. She studied illustration at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, with a minor in animation.

She began her creative career working on graphic design projects, including creating an ebook for the startup software company Mediafly, while simultaneously developing her freelance illustration practice. She has since co-created several comics, including the trilogy How to Summon the Lord Hastur, featured in the anthology Cthulhu Is Hard to Spell.

Her style blends American comics, manga, and traditional painting techniques. Versatile and adaptable, she tailors her visual approach to each project and is always eager to take on new creative challenges.
