Labyrinth

It was a joy to work with Kazimakuwara on this project. When I found out about the project, I just had to join. I had such fun combining yyh references with Labyrinth ones until they started to seamlessly blend together.

I knew exactly what I wanted to create when I got this assignment. I’ve been itching to draw a movie poster and have always found the Labyrinth poster exceptionally beautiful, with the beautiful designs by Brian Froud.

Ted Coconis is the artist behind the original Labyrinth poster. He works primarily with acrylic paints, which surprised me because his work feels like watercolors. You can check out his work here.

Huge shout-out to the blog Film on Paper. Because of their amazing high-resolution photos of the poster, I was able to recreate mine with such accuracy. Please check them out!!

Also, thanks @themuppetmasterencyclopedia for having such detailed photos of the puppets. It was such a huge help when I was drawing Humongous.
