I’ve had trouble drawing/painting lately. Maybe, as you saw from my last post, it’s because of all the snow-ins that happened in February and March. Luckily, I used that time to work on a miniature kit a friend of mine got for me for my birthday last year.
I’ve always loved miniatures, even as a little kid, but this was my first time trying it. It was much harder than I thought, but I really loved the end product, thought next time I would love to make something a little bigger.
If you are interested in trying out the miniature kit here a link. Ogrmar Wooden Dollhouse DIY Glassball Kit. I augmented mine quite a bit. Here’s several tools they don’t include, but otherwise this kit would be frustrating by all means to make.
- Supper glue and wood glue
- Tooth picks
- Sharp exacto blades
- tweezers
- Sowing kit – I sewed my fabrics hems by hand, which is just as hard as it sound on something so tinny.
- museum wax – if you want to move the objects later instead of gluing them down.
