I’ve had trouble drawing/painting lately. Maybe, as you saw from my last post, it’s because of all the snow-ins that happened in February and March. Luckily, I used that time to work on a miniature kit a friend of mine got for me for my birthday last year.

I’ve always loved miniatures, even as a little kid, but this was my first time trying it. It was much harder than I thought, but I really loved the end product, thought next time I would love to make something a little bigger.

If you are interested in trying out the miniature kit here a link. Ogrmar Wooden Dollhouse DIY Glassball Kit. I augmented mine quite a bit. Here’s several tools they don’t include, but otherwise this kit would be frustrating by all means to make.

  1. Supper glue and wood glue
  2. Tooth picks
  3. Sharp exacto blades
  4. tweezers
  5. Sowing kit – I sewed my fabrics hems by hand, which is just as hard as it sound on something so tinny.
  6. museum wax – if you want to move the objects later instead of gluing them down.
