Time Beans Reworks

bodyI still feel the originals had a lot of life though I’m very proud of my reworks. One thing to note, yes, all the characters were redrawn to look older because, uh they were/are. The characters are between 16-17 years old and I originally drew them looking more like 13 yrs old.

I can’t get over how pouty I made Blair the first time. She’s a character with a ton of spunk, energy and takes charge. But she also was a typical insecure teenager with a crush.

Hector didn’t change much in his redraw but to make him look cooler. He’s the older one in the group and relishes feeling cool among Blair and Dallas. Though, Hector isn’t as sure as he seems and can easy be pushed around. He really just wants to make others happy. My writer AJ related to Hector the most.

Dallas, I can expressed how happy I am with his redraw. I struggled so hard with his design and my redraw is always how I thought he would look. (It’s that hair man! Hard to draw back then). Dallas isn’t as sure as Blair of Hector and likes to follow the rules. He comes off as aloof but his skin isn’t as tough as he seems. Dallas was always the character I felt the most attached to.

Hector

This is the last image I reworked from the comic Time Beans.

Running Animation

A old animation I dusted off and had fun with the clean up animation.

It’s a work in progress (still having trouble with the timing and exporting correctly, ugh!) but I like how it’s turning out. I’ll see if I actually animate the rainbow skirt one day lol.

Time Bean Characters!

Here’s the main characters from the comic “Time Beans,” Blair, Dallas and Hector. I redrew from  several year old sketches. I’ll post a comparison pic in the future.

When I first drew/created these character designs I wasn’t able to capture the characters as I had envision. Reworking the sketches was rewarding to finally see the characters as I always had pictured them.

Stay Warm

For all my friends in the Midwest, stay warm.

Blair and Dallas

I redrew the characters Blair and Dallas from the comic Time Beans, which I worked on with AJ Luna. I really loved how Blair’s expression turned out.

Urban Burn

Trying out some new color pallets and a simplistic style.

I feel like I haven’t been posting the best content, but I can promise that next week I’ll post some really cool shit I’ve been working on.

Daily Sketches

I sketch a lot at work and mostly work in ink. When I was younger I worked in pencil and disliked the feeling of pens. I still do like pencils more, but I do love how simple and unapologetic ink is.

Ocean Dust

Daily Sketch. For a while I was on the mermaid train like everyone else. I really want to draw some fresh water mermaids in the future.
