Thank You Kazuki Takahashi

My sister and I watched and played Yugioh cards when we were kids. When I was 12 yrs I design my own cards, inspired by the Exodia cards.

The cards were created with colored pencils and are the size of the cards. To play them would use sticky putty to place them on other Yugioh cards. I never once summoned the “Spirit of 5” card, but I had so much fun playing cards with my sister.

After the passing of Kazuki Takahashi I reflected on being a fan of Yugioh. As a kid I thought the “heart of the cards” and “friendship” themes were cheesy, but now I realized I was doing exactly what KT wanted, which was form friendships. Yugioh was something I bonded with my sister and I am so thankful for those wonderful memories.

Last days of the Cthulhu is Hard to Spell Kickstarter

It’s the last couple of days for the Kickstarter for the “Cthulhu Is Hard To Spell – Battle Royale” anthology. This will be the last of the “Cthulhu Is Hard To Spell ” anthologies.

Johnny C and I created a great trilogy throughout the anthology series. I will be sad not to draw The Dark Lord Hastur anymore.

Cthulhu is Hard to Spell: Battle Royale

The 3rd installment of “Cthulhu Is Hard To Spell” anthology kickstarter is still happening! Please check it out!

I think the $60 pledge is the best because you get the hardcover book, but you also get the pin that goes along with this installment. Also, your name will be added to the social thanks page of the book.

Cthulhu is hard to Spell – Page 3

This is a comic panel from the “Cthulhu is hard to Spell” 3rd anthology (dates of the Kickstarter tbd). I really loved how this panel turned out, especially since it was one of the last pages I inked.

I was inspired by Zdzisław Beksiński art.

Forest

I’m trying to paint/draw more environments in 2022. This was a speed painting I did over the weekend.

Cat in Field

I made a card for my mother’s birthday. I hope she had a wonderful day, and wanted to bring her a little bit of early spring.

It’s the first time I’ve worked with traditional mediums in years. I very pleased with it turned out, because there were so many moments I almost messed up the card.
